Our schedule is FULL for the 2024 season.

Solo Foot Launch Training

Our solo foot launch training takes students step by step from introducing the equipment we use, to learning how to properly control the motor and the wing, to running into the sky with the help of our fantastic instructors. In our training, students will have access to instructional tools including tandem flights, wing kiting, motor simulations, communications systems, airport and aircraft etiquette, motor maintenance, weather, along with several other lessons. Students will train on our top of the line equipment. Gear will NOT need to be purchased before training. During training, we will help guide our students to find the right equipment that fits their mission criteria. For alumni students, we also offer an equipment rental program. We want to provide our students with options that not only fit their mission but their budget too. We feel this helps individuals get into the sport without having to save up the entire amount upfront for training and equipment and allows for a seamless transition. This rental program is also beneficial to help alumni stay current while waiting on purchased equipment to arrive.

Our Solo Instructional Classes are scheduled for first thing in the morning and right before dark. Typically this is when the weather is the most favorable for a safe and enjoyable learning environment. The morning class will start 30 min before sunrise at first light and will go until 2-3 hours after sunrise. Our night class will start 1-2 hours before sunset and go until last light.

Training length varies between students. Typically in 10-12 sessions, most students will achieve self-sufficient flying capabilities. We understand that some students will have prior experience in aviation and will excel at certain parts of the training. We understand that an investment to learn those skills has already been made. Other students will need more time to perfect certain skills and we will continue working until proficiency is achieved. Therefore, we do not charge a fixed rate for training.

Our foot launch training program is very unique and provides a lot of value for our students. Our students will have the opportunity for several tandem flights where our instructors will be in the air instructing from the same paramotor. This allows us to provide training in a much more immersive environment with the safety of an instructor helping and guiding along the way. We also provide every student with a kiting wing and harness rental to continue refining kiting skills at home. To help ensure positive kiting practice while at home, we encourage students to record themselves and share it with us for feedback. This optional rental program will require a $1,600.00 refundable deposit. Students will have the option to keep the kiting wing and harness after training or have their deposit refunded after the wing and harness are returned and inspected. A kiting wing is a non-airworthy, economical, miniature wing that provides a similar feel to a paramotor wing. Due to the kiting wing being a little smaller, kiting can be practiced in slightly higher winds expanding the window for training as a student. This also allows students an opportunity to learn and finesse their skills on a wing that is similar in characteristics but 1/3 the price of a paramotor wing saving you the “learning” cost on your new investment. Students participating in the kiting wing and harness rental have an opportunity to progress faster with fewer onsite scheduled lessons as the skills are being worked on at home.

The first solo lesson will include an introductory tandem flight and students will be provided with a PPG Bible, an Adventure Awaits t-shirt, and a kiting helmet for their continued training.
